Barre Blast Time- Saving Pilates Workout

Time - I know it's supposed to be an illusion, and yet I often feel like I'm battling it?

Have you had those days where it seems like there just isn't enough time? 

So what to do when your to-do list seems to be MUCH longer than the time you have to actually do it?

I have a 2-step plan for this scenario that always helps me get grounded, less panicked, and back into a productive mode (instead of my "panicking about being productive" mode).

1. I do a quick efficient Pilates workout (like the Barre Blast workout in this post).

Say what?

Yep, I said do some Pilates.

You don't need to spend an hour doing a long workout, but getting in some movement is the key to changing your outlook and getting some perspective on time.

In less than 15 minutes you can:

  • Increase mental focus
  • Boost endorphins
  • Release stuck energy
  • Soothe frustrations
  • Care for yourself

You could easily waste 15 minutes thinking about your to-do list, or spend 15 minutes moving your body and making sure that whatever else happens, you've taken care of yourself!

For this to work - you'll want to make sure that you have a source of workouts you can easily find without wasting time searching the internet for a workout.

I always open up my app to the Blessful Body Pilates membership and either do the workout of the day OR pick one of the short workouts in the workout library.

I'd also recommend bookmarking my blog or my Youtube channel so you can easily get to a quick, effective workout that you know is safe and useful!

After you've done some nourishing movement you're ready for the next phase...

2. Pick one item to finish on your list

Odds are your list probably has way too many things on it, and many of them may not actually be necessary.

With all the mental clarity and focus you gained from your workout you'll be able to figure out what's most important.

Cross off anything that isn't essential that you do today.

Do the one thing that's most important and if you have extra time, move on to another important item on your condensed list.

Before you know it you'll feel lighter and happier, and amazed at how much you've actually been able to do!
