Is that the question?
If you do ab curls or crunches I highly recommend that you spend some time pondering whether or not you should be doing ab curls and most importantly, how you are doing them.
As first generation Pilates teacher Eve Gentry is quoted as saying, "there is no bad movement, just movement badly done."
This quote has inspired my Pilates teaching for the past 20 years, and is so relevant to any conversation about ab curls and crunches.
I'm going to spend a lot of time in this episode discussing the correct way to do an ab curl or crunch, and I have a video workshop that teaches you how to do them correctly. Check it out on my blog by clicking here!
* The major benefits of ab curls (when done the "right way")
* The possible pitfalls of ab curls (when done the "wrong way")
* Which populations should avoid ab curls
And if you are wondering how to strengthen your core (and apply it to ab curls) then I invite you to my FREE Love Your Core mini-course, click here to get instant access in your inbox!
So any exercises out there you used to think of as "bad" that maybe might not be so bad if you can focus on how you're doing it? I'd love to know what you think - share in the comments below!
xoxo,
Ky
